Spring Crafts

I bought this paper mache box at Hobby Lobby for $3.27 and painted the main part. I tried putting velum over the top but it bubbled and looked awful. I also got the flowers at Hobby Lobby. When I bought everything it was 50% off so the whole thing only cost $9.66 which isn't bad seeing as the flowers were $12 without the 50% discount! It was really fast too, only one night of work, after Kenzie went down, so about 2 hours all together.

I bought a square canvas at Hobby Lobby and painted it. I bought the flowers from Target, they are in the scrapbooking aisle. I used puff paint for the words, it didn't turn out like I wanted it to but I can't change in now, I am definitely going to have to find something else for my summer sign. So far I have made one for Halloween, Winter and now Spring. It took a bit longer because I had to wait for the yellow layer to dry and it took a lot longer because it is on the other layer of paint. Let me know if you have any ideas for the words, so that they will look a little neater.

Letters

This is a wooden letter that I "made" for my mom. We got the letter from Hobby Lobby and used modge podge to cover it with paper. Super easy and fast, it only took about 15 minutes to do this letter, maybe even less, I don't really remember, I loved doing it so much the time just flew by!

2 New Ideas

I have done these for Becky's shower and I couldn't wait to show them to people.

These are ordinary cans that I wrapped in paper and tied a ribbon around for the flowers, super easy!

These frames were only 2.50 for 3 at Target and I painted them to match Becky's baby room and then stamped the letters on the glass with some foam stamps, the black hanging ribbons came with the frames, I am thinking about changing them though. I want your opinion though, should they have all been the same color or do you like the varying colors? When hung they will be pink, green, pink, green, just in case you didn't know how to spell baby:)

Never Mind

I am changing this blog to my craft idea blog. I haven't sold very many bows so I am going to use this for something else. I will still make bows for those who want them, I have SO much ribbon, but I am going to put more of my crafts on here to help give inspiration to others, because I am always looking at other's things to get inspired. It is one of my favorite hobbies to do new things to decorate with and so I want to share them with others. I will post some pictures of my latest endeavors tomorrow.

Change in Charges

Well, I have had to change one thing because my initial idea didn't work...I am going to have to charge $.10 more for snappie clips because I have to wrap them in ribbon instead of paint them like I had originally planned, the paint peels off and the bow comes with it and that doesn't work for me, and I am sure it won't work for anyone else either. This will apply to any future sales, any already exsisting orders will be exempt from the extra charge (Mellissa, this means you:). Thanks!
